Right now, I’m choosing to focus my energy where it can actually help. As ICE activity increases here in Seattle and across the country, I want to make it easier for people to take informed, meaningful action without burning themselves out.
Below, I’m sharing resources that feel practical and accessible:
• A simple script to call your senator (below)
• A downloadable “Know Your Rights” flyer, available in 12+ languages, created by the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network
• A way to financially support immigrants currently detained by immigration authorities through a trusted bond fund.
The Fair Fight Bond Fund helps pay immigration bonds for people who are being detained by ICE while their cases are pending. Being released from detention allows people to reunite with their families and better prepare their legal cases from a place of safety and stability, not from inside a detention facility.
Knowing your rights, sharing information, and making your voice heard does matter. Activism doesn’t have to be loud, confrontational, or all-consuming to be impactful. Sometimes it looks like making one phone call, downloading a flyer, donating to a bond fund, or passing along resources to someone who needs them.
I’m sharing this because I want to be a steady, trustworthy resource and because small, informed actions taken together are powerful.
